With the sun shining, over 260 children of all ages and their families came along to take part in the Easter activity which took them on a treasure hunt finding clues and answering questions around the historic gardens. Children commented on how much they enjoyed exploring the outdoors and learning new facts about wildlife.

One comment left in the visitor book read “Thoroughly enjoyed the Easter nature Trail. Staff were very helpful and the kids loved the Easter Bunny”

Another read “It has been a very good day for me today. I will visit again soon. Thanks a million.”

At the end of the trail the children were thrilled as they were met by the Easter Bunny with a special chocolate treat for them all!

Over 400 people chose to spend this beautiful day visiting Valentines Mansion, exploring the restored period rooms as well as venturing out doors to make the most of the great weather, perfect for enjoying a family picnic in the gardens.

Other Easter events at Valentines include the ‘Fun crafts day at the mansion’, a fun session in which children will have the opportunity to use their creativity to create miniature rooms inspired by the mansion! This event will take place on Tuesday 14 April with two sessions from 10.30am to 12noon and 1.30pm to 3pm. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. Bookings on 020 8708 8100.
