Special funding from the London Museums Hub enabled us to commission a Children’s Writer in Residence programme at Valentines, and 'Bella Balistica' series author Adam Guillain was selected to research the site’s history and deliver a series of events for families with the view of jointly creating a selection of short stories about the site.
As facts and fiction blend, a unique cocktail of stories is likely to emerge!

Adam ran his first family workshop on 27th October, and 'Fun With Stories' was very popular: Through warm up games, tales and prop games, Adam introduced families to the site and its previous owners and got young and old excited about the art of story building and fiction writing.

You may get to see your stories in Adam’s collection of short stories about the mansion and gardens later in the new year, or you may find your very own creative streak!
