Valentines Mansion is proud to bring you a special photographic exhibition by renowned still life photographer Stuart Duff. Through the use of innovative lighting techniques and new technology in the art of photographic display, Stuart has breathed life into a collection of previously unseen exquisite rare and valuable antique teaware, giving the viewer an experience which presents these pieces in a way that is as close as possible to the real thing.

Shakespeare in Redbridge

What does Shakespeare mean to the community of people who make up the Borough of Redbridge? This exhibition, centring on a signed copy of a book written by a 19th-century Shakespeare scholar who lived at Valentines, will be made up of items lent by local people, building up an idea of Shakespeare in Redbridge. This crowd sourced show hopes to show books, memorabilia, programmes and photographs from productions, ranging from documentation of a member of Shakespeares company who danced through Ilford in 1600 to photographs of a recent Redbridge school production of West Side Story.

Studio Artists’ Exhibition - Shakespeare

This year the studio artists are joining in the Shakespeare anniversary commemoration, and their work will complement the Shakespeare in Redbridge exhibition. Glasswork, painting, prints, ceramics, collage and drawings will celebrate the man, his plays and his characters.

Redbridge Music Lounge and Redbridge Green Fair Music Club will once again be running their popular live music sessions amid the beautiful horticultural surroundings of Valentines Mansion by the Gardeners Cottage Cafe. A feast of musical pleasures will be provided by many high quality musicians and singers from in and around Redbridge, mixing folk and jazz, soft rock and classical, pop and country, and everything around and in between. A limited amount of seating will be available but you may wish to bring your own chairs or picnic blankets.

Guided Tour of Valentines Gardens

The perfect time to have a look around our gardens. They will be in full bloom, and not only will you enjoy the beautiful colours, but also the amazing scents as you join Valentines Park Manager Simon Litt Dip. Hort. for a guided tour. Simons in depth knowledge will give you a fascinating insight into the historical gardens and you will leave with lots of handy tips for creating your own vibrant outdoor space.
