To mark the centenary of WW1, Valentines Mansion Studio Artists are responding to the theme of 'war' in this years annual exhibition. The artists all use diverse art forms and this will be a varied collective response.

Visit Valentines Mansion as part of Open House, an annual festival of architecture and design celebrating the capitals wonderful buildings, places and neighbourhoods. Come and explore our Georgian bedroom, drawing room and dining room, Regency Parlour and Victorian kitchen and dairy, and enjoy the walled garden, lake and grottos. You’ll also have the chance to visit our Vintage Wedding Fair which will be taking place throughout the house on this day.

If you love all things vintage and are planning your wedding, make sure you come along to our very special wedding fair. You'll get to meet fabulously vintage exhibitors and see their beautifully unique products and services, ranging from vintage and bespoke dresses and tiaras, film photography, vintage china hire and table styling to vintage inspired jewellery, wedding cakes, catering and floristry.

This tea party will explore the Indian tea drinking habits which fortified the troops in the First World War. You will be encouraged to share family stories you may have about the war and can bring any momentoes you may have, although this is not essential. With a Redbridge Museum Display about the local impacts of the War.

Health & Wellbeing Fair

Valentines Mansion will once again be hosting the Health and Wellbeing Fair. This year’s fair will include taster exercise classes, alternative therapies, health checks, mini hearing checks & hearing aid repairs, meditation & mindfulness sessions, guided walks in the park, information stalls, live music, a hydration & nutrition quiz and much more.

A chance for prospective volunteers to enjoy a complimentary house tour and an informal chat to gain a picture of just how rewarding volunteering for Valentines Mansion could be.

Exhibiting the works of GCSE and A level Fine Art and Photography students from schools across the borough, working in partnership to promote and celebrate the work of young artists. Start your Christmas shopping at our Open Studios event and choose unique gifts your loved ones will cherish forever. Handmade jewellery and ornaments for the home and garden, paintings and more, our artists’ studios are a real treat to browse through. Situated on the top floor of the Mansion, the studios are normally a private workspace for our local artists and craftspeople. Their doors open to the public just a few times
a year, so make the most of this special opportunity and come and meet our artists and see how their work is made.

Britten's ‘A Ceremony of Carols’ will be complemented by Christmas favourites such as ‘Carol of the Bells’ and ‘Ding Dong Merrily on High’, with more unusual pieces including Andrew Carter's ‘Maria Walks Amid The Thorn’.
